In Kitah Gimel STEAM class, students are learning about biometrics. This topic goes in line with the Skeletal system, part of the 3rd-grade curriculum. In terms of biometrics, we began with the eye. Students learned about the different parts of the eye, how each pare works, the connection between the eye and our brain, and how important it is to be able to regulate the amount of light our eye is exposed to in order to see correctly.

The class did some exercises their our eyes where students were able to see how our eye works like a camera. In the past few classes, students divided into groups and created puppets and a script. Last week, each group presented in a STEAM Shadow Puppet Theater. The goal was to understand how shadows can be created for humans to see.
