CUTE CONTENT ALERT! In first grade, Kitah Alef students learn to count with money, but the lessons do not stop at merely counting coins and bills. They deepen their learning through experiences involving entrepreneurship, business practices, and supply and demand in their final year project, the Kitah Alef Arts & Crafts Fair!

Each student chooses something that they enjoy making or creating. They then create a “storefront” out of reclaimed materials and products to “sell” to students in other grades, teachers, and parents. Some storefronts we saw this year included handmade art, puppets, books, bracelets, cartoon cows, and so much more. Upon visiting the fair, customers were given paper coins and bills to go “shopping” from store to store. It’s the cutest arts and crafts fair ever!
