Purim 2024 at Yavneh Day School was a celebration like no other!

Students and staff adorned themselves in colorful costumes, bringing all the Purim spirit to life. Amidst the festivities, students engaged in themed lessons, games, and crafts, immersing themselves in the story and traditions of Purim. The Eighth Grade spends the first half of the second semester studying the full Megillah text in chevruta (partnered study) and then learning the ta’amim (cantillation) for Megilat Esther. Under the incredible direction of Ms. Yourman, Morah Rebecca, the Eighth graders also crafted an incredible Purim Spiel and Purim experience activities for the lower school.

We kicked off the day with Kitah Chet’s impressive Megillah reading and entertaining spiel, earning them well-deserved praise. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and celebration of community and spirit! 🎉🌈
