In Yavneh News

As the year has kicked off to a fantastic start, we would like to share some positive updates with our valued Yavneh Community. We continue to have ambitious goals for Yavneh and are proud that we achieved these initial milestones. The following are highlights related to our new affordable tuition model, as well as the hard work of our faculty, staff, administration, Board and committees:

  • Increased Overall Enrollment by 11%, compared to this time last year
  • Welcomed 25 Temporary Israeli students after the atrocities of October 7th
  • Greatly impacted our recruitment efforts with new students representing 24% of our current student body
  • Retained 93% of our students from prior year
  • Significantly increased the number of families who are now able to afford full tuition
  • Transitioned major gifts in our annual campaign donations to go more directly into educational programming and classroom experiences for our students
  • Expanded our donor base by significantly increasing the number of first time donors and recaptured donors from prior years
  • Established a new school leadership model to streamline critical administrative roles overseeing education and operations
  • Formalized an Educational Leadership team to support new teachers and leverage expertise of veteran teachers.
  • Reorganized the business office to coordinate functions related Human Resources, Finance and Facilities.

We are excited about celebrating these victories at our upcoming board retreat, where we will focus more broadly on philanthropy. With the kick off of the Annual Campaign around the corner, we will be clear about why we give to Yavneh and why this community means so much to each of us. As Board members, we are stewards of the organization and it is our job to model the way through our own donations.-

-We donate because we are proud parents of a Yavneh student or alum.
-We donate because we believe Yavneh elevates our community in the South Bay.
-We donate because we feel that we belong at Yavneh, where we are safe, seen and heard.
-We donate to Yavneh because we want to invest in Jewish Education and make a difference for the next generation.
-We donate because we are so grateful for the opportunities our children have had at Yavneh.
-We donate to Yavneh because our children benefit from our contributions and have a more enriching experience.

Why do you donate to Yavneh?
