In Yavneh News

At Yavneh Day School, we remain deeply committed to providing a premier educational experience that is rigorous and rooted in our Jewish values. As the only Jewish day school in the Bay Area offering a reduced base tuition of $26,000, we work to make an outstanding education accessible to families who value academic excellence and a meaningful Jewish identity for their children. Base tuition for the 2025-26 school year will remain $26,000.

Our budget for the coming academic year reflects this commitment by supporting essential programs, co-curricular activities, hands-on learning across disciplines like STEAM, Art, and Music, experiential field trips, and overnight trips. The following fees, tailored by grade level, enable us to enhance each student’s educational journey with enriching experiences designed to complement their developmental growth.

2025-26 Grade-Level Fees

These fees provide the resources for a variety of educational journeys, field trips, and special projects that enhance classroom learning:

  • Kindergarten – 3rd Grade: $390
  • 4th Grade: $790
  • 5th – 6th Grade: $1,890
  • 7th Grade: $3,690
  • 8th Grade: $5,490

These fees allow us to offer younger students foundational activities that encourage curiosity and teamwork, while middle and upper grades enjoy more advanced projects and extended field trips that deepen their understanding of their subjects and connection to their Jewish heritage.

2025-26 Security Fee

In our effort to provide a secure and welcoming campus for every family, we have established a $990 security fee per student. This fee allows us to maintain and enhance our school’s safety infrastructure, creating a supportive environment where students can focus on learning and growing.

Financial Goals and Commitment to Transparency

We plan to continue offering an affordable tuition model so long as we can continue to demonstrate that our tuition can cover more and more of our operating expenses.  Next year’s budget allows us to plan for 77% of our operating expenses to be covered by tuition.  Thus, an Annual Fund Campaign will continue to be part of our ongoing effort to close the gap between what tuition covers and what it costs to run this amazing institution, stay deeply committed to hiring and retaining high quality faculty and staff, and offer the multitude of learning experiences for our students to find joy in each day and to be prepared for their future.

As part of our ongoing dedication to excellence and accessibility, we are pleased to share our financial goals for the next few years. We aim to cover 85% of our operating expenses through tuition income and to reduce development funding needs to $500,000 or less within 1-3 years. Achieving these goals will contribute to our long-term stability and sustainable growth, helping us provide an exceptional educational experience year after year.

Yavneh Day School is committed to transparency and is proud to make high-quality Jewish education both accessible and impactful. We are grateful for your support and partnership in creating an environment where students excel academically and build a meaningful connection to their Jewish identity.
