As part of their Project-Based Learning unit, Gan students have been learning all about SPACE. To bring our learning to life we had an incredible field trip to the De Anza Planetarium. There, they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonders of the universe, marveling at the stars, planets, and the vast expanse of space. It was an inspiring experience that sparked their curiosity and imagination!

Here are some Gan student reflections about what they learned:

Orly: “I learned There’s also a small dipper (Little Dipper) not just a Big Dipper!”

Yon: “I learned the moon orbits the sun and earth!”

Benjamin: “I learned about the constellations!  I like the one shaped like a lion!”

Micah: “I learned that planets don’t twinkle in the sky.”

Noah: “I learned the stuff that doesn’t twinkle is a planet and the stuff that does twinkle is a star!”

Kitra: “I learned that Orion and his belt has a really bright star!”

Noa: “I learned about all the constellations!”

Isaac: “I learned about the star called Betelgeuse (pronounced Beetle Juice :)!”
