Today is Yom HaShoah — Holocaust Remembrance Day

We honor the memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and reflect on our enduring responsibility: to remember, to teach, and to never forget.

At Yavneh Day School, we understand a Jewish day school education is more than academics — it’s about identity, resilience, and carrying forward a legacy. We teach our students to bear witness, to honor memory, and to help shape a future grounded in compassion and justice.

We are especially proud of our 7th graders, who led this morning’s school Yom HaShoah tekes with powerful poetry, art, and music, and who also participated in the South Bay community commemoration last night.
