Hannah Stein is from West Bloomfield MI, where she attended Jewish Day School and was inspired by her own passionate educators. She graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) in 2021, where she received a BA in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development. Following her studies at MSU she spent a year student-teaching in Chicago Public Schools (K, 3rd grade) as part of their 5th-year internship.
Hannah took part in the Nachshon Project undergraduate fellowship in 2020 and is now continuing her Jewish leadership training as a Nachshon Graduate Fellow. Hannah earned her MA in Jewish Education at The William Davidson Graduate School at the Jewish Theological Seminary. This past year, she carried out her student-teaching in a kindergarten classroom at Beit Rabban Day School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Hannah is eager to move to Palo Alto and join Yavneh’s student-centered and community oriented environment. She looks forward to bringing her excitement for learning, compassion, and growth mindset to the team. Hannah grew up attending Camp Ramah in Canada, later spending five years on staff as a counselor, and most recently as a unit head. She is excited to share her passion for working with young students, helping them find meaning and connection to Jewish values as they apply learning to their everyday lives. In her free time, Hannah loves to rock climb and try new restaurants with friends.
