The Sacramento field trip was an opportunity for students to dive deep into California’s vibrant history and culture. Over the two-day experience, they engaged in various explorations focused on aerospace, history, and lawmaking. Students toured several significant sites, including the Aerospace Museum, the California State Capitol, the State Indian Museum, the California State Railroad Museum, and the Sacramento History Museum. Students had a chance to connect with history in a tangible and meaningful way. As they explored the marvels of flight, learned about the challenges faced by California’s Native Americans, and witnessed the technological advancements transforming transportation, the trip transformed education into an unforgettable adventure. Students acquired new perspectives on California’s history with each visit, leaving with a richer appreciation of the state and its diverse cultural heritage.

“The Sacramento field trip was fun, with surprises and hands-on activities. The history was fascinating, with information we did not get from the classroom. My favorite visit was to the California State Capitol building, where I learned the process of democracy and visited the assembly room. I enjoyed the time I spent with my friends, understanding that I have a lot in common with them and differences, too!”  – Robbie
